Allied Health Professionals have a diverse role, offering opportunity to assist job seekers with complex employment barriers. This includes conducting assessments, therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and recommending vocational and non-vocational services.
This is a permanent opportunity.
Full-time hours
- Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with various disabilities and employment barriers.
- Offer counselling intervention as needed, utilizing various psychological methodologies.
- Refer candidates to external support services.
- Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor case progression.
- Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on psychological services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Psychology with eligibility for registration with APHRA
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Counselling, or eligibility to gain membership with ACA / PACFA
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work, or eligibility to gain membership with AASW
- Experience working within employment services is highly regarded but not essential
- Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies
- Exceptional communication, rapport-building, and engagement skills
- Ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports
- Ability to generate positive outcomes for clients
- Police Clearance (within 6 months) and Work with Children's Check
