Allied Health Professionals have a diverse and important role, offering opportunity to assist job seekers with complex employment barriers. This involves conducting assessments, therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and providing recommendations to vocational and non-vocational services.
Permanent Opportunity. Full-time and part-time hours considered.
Key duties include:
- Thorough assessments of candidates with disabilities and employment barriers.
- Counselling intervention services (face-to-face and telehealth) using various psychological methodologies.
- Referral to external support services for addressing barriers.
- Evaluations of assessments and monitoring of case progression.
- Liaison with medical professionals and community agencies.
- Training and guidance to staff on psychological services and procedures.
Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Psychology with APHRA registration eligibility, or relevant Counselling qualification with ACA/PACFA membership.
- Experience in employment services (preferred, not essential).
- Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies.
- Strong communication, rapport-building, and engagement skills.
- Ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports.
- Proven ability to generate positive client outcomes.
- Police Clearance (within 6 months) and Work with Children's Check.
