Job Summary The Water Technologies and Solutions, Analytical Instruments product line has an opening for a Global Sales Director. This role is responsible for regional growth of the Eclipse and Soleil product lines, driving increased market share and revenue. The position requires strong leadership, business acumen, and deep industry knowledge. Collaboration with internal teams and global sales teams to develop and execute local/regional/market growth plans is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies for Eclipse and Soleil product lines.
- Define sales objectives, targets, and strategies aligned with company goals, collaborating with regional sales managers and executive teams.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies.
- Generate new sales globally, utilizing a challenger sales strategy for bioburden and endotoxin detection products.
- Collaborate with global sales directors, account managers, sales engineers, applications specialists, and channel partners.
- Document information in a fishbone spreadsheet and Salesforce CRM, ensuring visibility, tracking, and updated information for opportunities, activity, funnel, and results.
- Increase field sales team activity for bioburden and endotoxin products.
- Report monthly on regional activity, pipeline development, and results to senior management.
- Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results, annual forecasts).
- Maintain technical understanding of competitor products and sales distribution.
- Travel globally to customer sites to develop business opportunities, demonstrate products, and close sales.
- Achieve sales targets: Lead and motivate the regional sales team and channel partners to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Provide guidance and support to sales managers, ensuring alignment with objectives and sales plan execution.
- Track and maintain up-to-date field activity and opportunities in Salesforce CRM.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identifying customer needs and developing tailored solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments to expand market presence and share.
- Develop and execute market entry strategies and partnerships.
- Monitor sales performance (revenue, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, customer retention rates).
- Analyze data to improve sales performance and develop action plans.
- Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to enhance team performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and best practice sharing across regions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product management, applications, regional sales managers, operations).
- Communicate sales strategies, goals, and results to senior management.
- Identify key accounts and support regional sales teams to duplicate successes.
