A day in the life: As an Analytics Engineer, you'll maintain and improve our novaCloud data warehouse for performance marketing, e-commerce, and site activity. You'll work with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, develop and monitor data pipelines, ensuring accuracy and reliability. You'll work on the enterprise warehouse, helping understand client revenue, manage churn, and forecasting. Your expertise in building ontologies between performance marketing and customer 360 data models is crucial for a robust data infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining analytics-ready data models (star, snowflake schemas).
- Write and optimize SQL queries and transformations for efficient and accurate data retrieval.
- Monitor and maintain data pipelines, debugging issues.
- Implement data quality checks and resolve flagged issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into structured models.
- Support data marts and curated datasets for business users.
- Handle support tickets and escalate complex problems.
- Maintain documentation for data models and business definitions.
- Develop and maintain Looker dashboards and reports.
- Participate in identifying process improvements.
- Utilize AI technologies to optimize business processes.
- Leverage the Nova ecosystem.
Role Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience designing and implementing basic data models.
- 1-3 years experience in SQL-based data transformations (e.g., dbt).
- 1+ years experience with data warehousing principles and BI tools (e.g., Looker).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience documenting data models.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
