Job Details

Are you passionate about building impactful software products? At MedTrainer, we are looking for an Associate Product Manager with hands-on experience working on SaaS product development teams. This is a product ownership role, not a project coordination or marketing position.

As an Associate Product Manager, you will participate in the discovery, definition, and delivery of new features and improvements within our platform. You’ll work closely with Product Designers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our product decisions are driven by user needs, aligned with business strategy, and technically feasible. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing healthcare tech company, where your work will directly impact thousands of healthcare organizations and professionals.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and support discovery efforts by identifying user needs and pain points through qualitative and quantitative research.
  2. Clearly define user problems and collaborate with design and engineering teams to shape feasible, valuable solutions.
  3. Validate requirements early with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
  4. Produce comprehensive documentation, including well-structured Product Requirements Documents with actionable, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  5. Collaborate in solution reviews and define acceptance criteria and test plans with engineering.
  6. Assist with rollout preparation, including documentation updates, internal training, and communication to business teams.
  7. Coordinate post-release activities, including production testing and release notes for internal users.
  8. Practice continuous discovery to validate whether launched products are delivering value, uncover new opportunities, and proactively identify what to tackle next.
  9. Maintain a well-prioritized and groomed backlog, using prioritization frameworks to drive value and alignment.

3–5+ years of experience in a product management or Product Owner role within a software development environment (preferably SaaS).

Demonstrated ability to define software requirements and work closely with cross-functional teams.

Strong experience collaborating with software engineers and product designers.

Proficient in agile/scrum methodologies and familiar with tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Experience participating in discovery, prototyping, testing, and measuring product outcomes.

Proven ability to write well-scoped, testable, and valuable user stories.

Experience managing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders and balancing short-term needs with long-term vision.

Customer-centric mindset, with a passion for solving real problems and delivering measurable value to users.

Skills and Tools

  • Familiarity with frameworks like JTBD (Jobs-to-be-Done) and data-informed product decisions.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, collaboration tools, and common SaaS platforms.
  • Skilled in roadmap creation, backlog management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, structured documentation.
  • Experience in collaborating with remote and globally distributed teams, and fostering strong communication to ensure effective teamwork and project success.
  • Ability to synthesize feedback from stakeholders into clear action plans.

Personal Attributes

  • Analytical thinker with strong empathy and curiosity for user problems.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Skilled in prioritization, collaboration, and delivering high-quality outcomes.

We Offer:

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • A dynamic, creative, and remote-friendly environment.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.

Possible employment type: FULL_TIME
