Job Details
Associate Tax Accountant will prepare US Federal and state income tax returns, review sales & use tax, maintain income tax payable and receivable accounts, and review withholding taxes. Other duties include:
- Preparing US Federal and state income/franchise tax filings, collecting required information
- Assisting with international tax compliance (Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credit, earnings and profits calculations)
- Ensuring timely filing of U.S. tax compliance
- Reconciling worldwide tax balance sheet accounts, gathering info for tax provision calculations
- Assisting with tax provision analysis/footnotes
- Supervising sales tax compliance, coordinating issue resolution
- Preparing responses to tax notices
- Collecting audit information and assisting with audit resolution
- Researching tax issues
- Communicating with Tax and Finance personnel, ensuring consistent tax policy application
- Serving as a tax consultant within the company
Required Education/Licenses:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- Master's degree in Taxation
- CPA eligible
Experience:
- 2-3 years preparing/reviewing corporate federal and state income tax returns
- Experience in a large public accounting firm or with the IRS preferred
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite
- ONESOURCE Provision and/or ONESOURCE Income Tax preferred
Other Skills/Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of US federal income tax law, tax accounting, and tax compliance
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Desire to learn and deliver high-quality work
- Excellent research and documentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
