Role Overview:
As Manager of our Global Payroll team, you're responsible for in-depth domestic and international payroll knowledge, managing all aspects of the payroll process for Rithum. You'll interact with various departments, third-party providers, external auditors, consultants, and state/federal agencies to maintain payroll records.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and mentoring a Global Payroll Analyst
- Managing payroll processing (semi-monthly/monthly), employee records, general ledger reconciliations, tax reporting, filings, year-end close
- Ensuring compliance with global payroll regulations (tax laws, labor regulations, statutory requirements)
- Overseeing audits and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance
- Conducting regular payroll audits to ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations
- Serving as a technical expert in payroll law, tax regulations, and accounting principles
- Reviewing and reconciling payroll accruals to the general ledger
- Managing relationships with third-party payroll providers
- Resolving employee payroll issues/disputes
- Supporting the People team
- Designing and developing ad hoc reports
- Serving quarterly/annual external audit requests
- Managing SOX compliance for payroll process
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Coordinating with global teams for accurate and compliant payroll execution
- Maintaining confidentiality and data security for payroll information
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- 3+ years of Global payroll experience (multi-state processing)
- Supervisory experience
- Extensive payroll processing knowledge
- Expertise with ADP Workforce Now
- Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Detailed record-keeping (accuracy is a must)
- Ability to work standard business hours (8am-5pm EST), with flexibility for global teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of leadership experience
- Experience with CloudPay
- Spain and UK payroll processing experience
- Payroll software certifications
- Proactive approach to workload and problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration
- Global mindset and cross-cultural sensitivity
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential information
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
