Full-Time Behavioral Health Subject Matter Expert (DHS ICE)

ISN is seeking Behavioral Health Subject Matter Experts to support DHS ICE ERO Directorate Division.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing health care facilities for compliance with NCCHC/ACA and ICE detention standards.
• Conducting assessments of ICE detention facilities, evaluating findings, and preparing detailed reports on behavioral health issues.
• Providing recommendations to address non-compliance issues.
• Offering real-time technical assistance and guidance to facility personnel on behavioral health care and programming.
• Evaluating compliance with sexual assault/abuse prevention and intervention standards.
• Consulting on adult psychiatry, female health, and underserved populations.
• Providing written ratings/narrative information and reports for quality review programs and medical care.
• Analyzing data reports to identify trends and improvement areas.

Requirements include:

• Active DHS clearance or ability to obtain it.
• US Citizenship.
• Travel to various locations nationwide for onsite investigations.
• Ability to work with deployed teams.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of behavioral health care experience in secure custodial settings.
• Minimum 5 years of specialized experience administering a health care unit for detained populations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience inspecting detention facilities, reviewing behavioral health records, conducting interviews, and providing ratings/narrative reports.
• Minimum 5 years general experience in the administration of a behavioral health care unit may substitute for 2 years of specialized experience.
• Strong organization, time management, oral & written communication skills.
• Experience in data trend collection/monitoring for risk reduction.
• Experience as a subject matter expert in mental health programs/systems in custodial settings.
• Experience producing written reports evaluating standards, systems, and actions in detention facilities.

Education:

• Current licensed Behavioral Health Professional.
