Who You’ll Work WithArista is a fast growing technology company that continues to ignite new innovations in the software driven cloud networking space. Our HR ambition reflects the same goals. This role will help manage, administer, and develop our employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability coverage, leave policies, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while also researching and recommending competitive benefit packages to attract and retain talent. Scope of the role covers US, Canada and Mexico.
What You’ll Do
Benefit plans: overseeing the day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, terminations, and claims processing. Scope of the role covers US, Canada and Mexico.
Open enrollment: managing the annual open enrollment process, working with our broker, providers and systems team including responsibility for employee communications, plan documentation and presentations.
Auditing and compliance: partnering with our broker, providers and payroll teams to ensure monthly reconciliations and quality controls are in place. Ensure we are compliant with the latest federal and state regulations (including ERISA, 401k, Cobra, HIPAA, FMLA) and manage all Benefits reporting requirements (e.g. ACA, SF HCSO).
Effective communication: Prepare and manage effective communications with employees and upper management through presentations, written communications, and online platforms, whilst also acting as the primary contact for employees.
Leaves of absence: develop and provide oversight of our leaves policies (globally)and workers compensation, ensuring compliance and the proper processes and documentation is in place for effective administration. Manage US LOA cases.
Vendor management: develop strong relationships with our broker and providers to monitor kPI's, resolve issues and look for continuous improvement opportunities.
Reporting and analytics: an experienced, commercially-savvy benefits professional to prepare reports and conduct analytics on utilization data and benefit cost projections (particularly our medical plans) to help us balance manage cost control and optimize the benefit plans.
Additional special projects as needed.
Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree with at least 10 years in US benefits.
Understanding of US employment laws and regulations related to employee benefits and leaves of absence.
Expertise in health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefit programs.
Analytical and commercially savvy, strong attention to detail and driving quality controls.
Excited by new challenges and handling multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Experience of Workday is preferable but not essential.
