The Senior Recruiter is responsible for Service Excellence throughout the recruitment cycle.

The Senior Recruiter acts as a brand ambassador for their client and partners with hiring managers in a consultative capacity. They focus on delivering top talent for hiring managers, providing proactive and timely communication on search status.

They stay abreast of industry and market trends impacting the search.

The Senior Recruiter mentors Recruiters and other team members, demonstrates innovation and outside-the-box thinking with search techniques.

Work location: Remote for candidates in the US, Canada, and UK only

Work arrangement: Remote

Specific needs: Background in technology recruitment

Language skills: English, French

  1. Complete a detailed job scope conversation with the hiring leader to determine position specifications.
  2. Timely review of applicants through the applicant tracking system.
  3. Build and deploy effective recruitment marketing campaigns for job openings.
  4. Source candidates from resume databases and networking sites using sophisticated Boolean search language.
  5. Source candidates via social media and deep web sourcing techniques.
  6. Generate targeted lists of passive candidates using member subscriptions and technologies.
  7. Solicit and pursue referrals from business networks and/or internal referrals.
  8. Utilize proprietary software for mobile and email campaigns targeting talent communities.
  9. Use a sophisticated mix of media to connect with talent communities (phone, email, campaigns, network introductions, and social media).
  10. Provide value propositions tailored to each candidate's situation and interest level.
  11. Prepare candidates for interviews, providing logistical information, interview schedules, appropriate attire, and expectations for follow-up.
  12. Ensure all candidates receive timely updates on application and interview status.
  13. Monitor candidate interest levels and concerns.
  14. Conduct professional and thoughtful phone interviews with role-specific probing questions.
  15. Navigate difficult conversations to gather appropriate information.
  16. Compare candidate interview notes and skills assessments with requisition specifications to determine if the candidate is a match for the role.
  17. Consider factors related to candidate fit to the team and cultural fit.
  18. Issue skills testing as needed and evaluate results.
  19. Review background and reference information (if needed).
  20. Keep candidates engaged throughout the process.
  21. Continuously build a talent pipeline to ensure multiple candidates are available.
  22. Keep hiring managers updated on market changes impacting the hiring process.
  23. Articulate a job offer and drive candidate acceptance.
  24. Partner with the hiring manager to ensure offer acceptance.
  25. Strict adherence to all regulations (OFCCP and other compliance standards).
  26. Demonstrate segment/practice/industry expertise.
  27. Deliver a strong candidate slate for each requisition.
  28. Provide accurate and regular reporting of recruiting activities.
  29. Identify perceived difficulties in searches and research solutions, collaborating with leadership (and hiring manager as appropriate).
  30. Proactively and regularly communicate search status to the hiring manager.
  31. Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, human resources, or related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five or more years' results-oriented recruiting experience in an in-house, RPO, or agency setting.
  • Ability to showcase niche segment or industry expertise.
  • Ability to employ technologies in the recruiting process that create efficiencies.
  • Adhere to documentation and processes for compliance.
  • Experience utilizing deep web sourcing techniques.
