The Business Development Manager will present and promote SGS Testing Services to potential clients, leverage new business opportunities, and establish long-term partnerships.
Areas of focus:
- Comprehensive familiarity with GMO AP testing and molecular genotyping technologies.
- Knowledge of single and multiplexed SNP marker assays, genotyping arrays, and genome sequencing.
- Understanding of applications in plant research, crop breeding, and seed production.
Collect and monitor market opportunities in collaboration with the Directors at the Brookings Laboratory to develop and implement a growth strategy. Participate in webinars and marketing activities.
Job Functions:
- Responsible for profitable revenue growth and establishing strategic business partnerships.
- Focus on market segments and coordinate with other SGS divisions.
- Educate customers on SGS Brookings’ service offerings and training opportunities.
- Act as the commercial face of SGS, developing relationships and assisting in proposal development.
- Work with business managers and marketing to identify key industry events.
- Aggressively seek new service portfolio offerings based on client needs.
- Source new business leads and identify business opportunities.
- Liaison with the SGS Marketing team for marketing projects.
- Maintain information on competitors.
