Job Details
Clinical Counselor position for The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP). This position is still at the proposal stage and is awaiting award. International SOS is seeking qualified clinical counselors to provide counseling services worldwide for active duty military members, their families, and eligible dependents. This includes active-duty members of foreign military services and military retirees.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing counseling services for critical incidents, and offering counseling and advocacy to individuals, families, and groups.
- Conducting assessments and providing short-term, solution-focused counseling.
- Referring individuals requiring longer-term or medical intervention.
- Coordinating specialized assessments and interventions for at-risk children.
- Reporting suspected child abuse and domestic violence.
- Maintaining accurate records in the FFSMIS system.
- Participating in emergency response exercises.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current, valid, and unrestricted clinical license/certification in a relevant field (e.g., professional counseling, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or clinical/counseling psychology).
- Master's degree in a relevant field, or a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology with a one-year clinical internship.
- Minimum of two years of full-time post-master's supervised clinical experience.
- Demonstrate current clinical competence.
- Strong communication, assessment, and advocacy skills.
- Knowledge of state, federal, and local resources.
- Experience working with child abuse and domestic abuse.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
Compensation
- Pay Range: $50,000 - $92,000 (USD) per year.
