Clinical Science Liaison, Oncology provides scientific and technical leadership while educating community-based physicians with the most current study findings (abstracts and publications).
The role seeks opportunities to engage with physicians to review real-world cases and address questions related to test reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific and technical leadership to ensure professional and credible relationships with key community physicians and KOLs to promote understanding and adoption of novel diagnostic technologies.
- Be a resource for community physicians to evaluate and provide guidance on interpretation of real-world patient test reports.
- Facilitate educational growth and understanding through presentations of scientific content.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with KOLs to present at scientific forums.
- Synopsize and educate key staff regarding emerging abstracts and publications.
- Facilitate medical and scientific field intelligence.
- Elicit feedback on current and future products and share with internal teams.
- Understand competitive research activities, generate insights from investigators, and communicate within Guardant.
- Prepare and present clinical requests for information.
Requirements:
- Terminal degree (Genetic Counselor, NP/PA, Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or academic equivalent).
- Clinical expertise or related experience in Oncology.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of healthcare experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Experience working with clinicians to build consensus.
- Track record of independent presentations.
- Prior experience introducing novel clinical products (desired).
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of biotechnology, diagnostics and pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Multi-tasking abilities.
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, time management.
- Exceptional human relations skills.
- Ability to elicit and answer clinical questions.
Work Environment:
- Extensive travel (up to 3-4 days/overnights per week).
- Hybrid work model.
- Office may be home-based.
Salary:
US base salary range: $141,000 to $193,850 (does not include benefits).
