The Conflicts Analyst supports the firm’s risk management and new business function by collecting necessary information to perform thorough and accurate conflict of interest checks.
- Conducts corporate research using internet and other research tools.
- Enters and updates data in the firm’s conflicts database.
- Analyzes information provided with new matter requests for compliance with firm policies.
- Reviews conflict of interest reports for new firm matters.
- Assists with resolution strategies and outreach to impacted attorneys.
- Reviews engagement letters and new matter scope communications for compliance.
- Assists with training of new Conflicts Information Specialists and Analysts.
- Participates in testing, development, and analytic activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of conflicts of interest issues.
- High level of knowledge related to technical systems. Knowledge of InTapp preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.
- High level of knowledge of internet research.
- Advanced skill in operating standard office equipment.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of two (2 years) of directly-related conflicts law firm experience or experience in a practice support or legal assistant capacity.
