Job Description
We are looking for a Director - Health Sciences to serve as our EMEA Lead, responsible for launching and growing our consulting presence across Europe. This is a seller-doer leadership role with strong emphasis on business development, client acquisition, and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business and may join as an individual or with a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Health Sciences practice across EMEA, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Develop and execute regional business development strategies to expand client relationships and service offerings.
- Oversee consulting engagements in areas such as toxicology, epidemiology, product safety, regulatory compliance, and health risk assessment.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of consultants and subject matter experts.
- Represent J.S. Held in industry forums, conferences, and client meetings, enhancing brand visibility and thought leadership.
- Collaborate globally with colleagues across North America and APAC to share best practices and deliver integrated solutions.
EU-registered toxicologist status is required.
- Extensive experience in health sciences consulting, with expertise in one or more of the following: toxicology, epidemiology, product stewardship, regulatory affairs, or health risk assessment.
- Proven leadership experience in a regional or global consulting role, ideally within a top-tier firm or specialized consultancy.
- Strong understanding of EMEA regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and client expectations.
- Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., German, Spanish or French) are a plus.
