Full-Time Credentialing Specialist

The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of credentialing and recredentialing for all dental providers. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring providers are credentialed, appointed, and privileged with dental plans.
• Maintaining up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and online systems.
• Ensuring timely renewal of licenses and certificates.
• Compiling and maintaining current and accurate data for all providers.
• Completing credentialing and recredentialing applications, and monitoring applications to follow-up as needed.
• Maintaining copies of current state licenses, certificates, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
• Tracking license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
• Maintaining knowledge of current dental plan and agency requirements for providers.
• Setting up and maintaining provider information in online credentialing databases and systems.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of provider information.
• Ensuring practice addresses and provider & billing information is current with dental plans, agencies, and other entities.
• Working towards continuous quality improvement.
• Staying current with changing technology and dental industry trends.
• Upholding, supporting, and promoting all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of medical/dental credentialing experience ideal.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, computer and office equipment, e-mail, and internet-based portals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to research and analyze data.
• Skilled in ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple projects/priorities.
• Place a high emphasis on attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Seek to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, office and corporate team, and contacts outside the organization.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred, but not required.
