Responsibilities
- Leads the Office of Academic Performance, ensuring Walden leaders, faculty, and staff make data-driven decisions, foster a successful learning environment, and address barriers.
- Provides oversight for institutional research and analytics, driving an exceptional student experience.
- Provides oversight for inclusive teaching, student retention, and success initiatives.
- Collaborates with university executives to achieve strategic goals and lead university transformation initiatives.
- Works collaboratively with other leaders in the Division of Mission Performance to advance mission and strategic goals.
- Reports to the Vice Provost for the Division of Mission Fulfillment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a data-driven student success strategy aligning with the university's mission to enhance retention and persistence from first year to graduation.
- Track retention, persistence, and completion by cohort and overall student population.
- Identify student success gaps and facilitate interventions addressing academic, social, financial, and emotional barriers.
- Analyze and report retention data to leadership, informing continuous improvement efforts.
- Leverage best practices and increase institutional knowledge across the organization.
- Lead retention programs and student success initiatives across the student lifecycle.
- Collaborate with faculty leadership to develop a strong sense of belonging and academic engagement.
- Collaborate with university partners to ensure a supportive student experience from enrollment through graduation.
- Oversee a holistic institutional assessment approach encompassing student, faculty, staff, and alumni experiences.
- Utilize data analytics to assess student success initiatives and retention efforts.
- Prepare regular reports on student success metrics, including retention rates, graduation rates, and intervention program success.
- Use predictive analytics to identify and prioritize student needs allowing for timely and effective interventions.
- Provide support and resources for Interdisciplinary Research Labs.

- Experience writing grants and working with foundations and agencies preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, team participation, team building, and human relations skills

- Ability to write effectively in both business and academic styles
- Experience with distance learning preferred
- Some travel required
Salary Range $97,253.99 - $175,761.85
