What Does the Director, Market Access Strategy Do?
The Director, Market Access Strategy role supports the Market Access Specialty Affiliate and teams across the broader organization with data-driven market access strategic insight needs that span existing client accounts and new business opportunities.
The Director will work closely with Market Access leadership, account teams, and EVERSANA INTOUCH's clients, to support strategic initiatives for market access.
The Director will serve as a team lead for one or more clients, responsible for innovative development of strategies and initiatives that optimize market access and reimbursement across multiple payer segments.
The Director, Market Access Strategy will be tasked with delivering excellent business results by:
- Providing specific healthcare expertise and relevant experience for strategy and execution of client projects.
- Representing the Eversana Intouch Market Access Affiliate to clients and lead payer strategy work to identify and meet clients’ business needs.
- Leading strategic and tactical marketing plans focused on engaging market access stakeholders (health plans, PBMs, IDNs, employers, etc.) as well as HCP/patient initiatives which address access and reimbursement considerations.
- Providing strategic support to elevate market access solutions and bring new ideas forward that address emerging barriers and support marketing objectives.
- Supporting cross-functional matrix teams in support of internal and external client deliverables.
- Providing segment strategy input for prelaunch and existing brand, biosimilar, or loss of exclusivity business planning.
- Assisting new business development through research, proposal development, and presentation.
- Contributing by providing industry specific expertise to related projects.
- Supporting and present education and training of either customer or internal personnel as required.
- Assisting in preparation and execution of client workshops and competitive simulations. Role-play as payer or other market access stakeholder during exercise to enhance client understanding of market challenges.
- Reviewing evolving market trends in drug coverage landscape and providing actionable insights to Eversana Intouch and Account team leads.
- Prioritizing deliverables across multiple clients and assisting the team in meeting tight deadlines.
- Representing Eversana Intouch Market Access Affiliate at industry meetings and gathering insights relevant to clients.
- Assisting account team in budget planning with client(s) and providing recommendations on services/projects to meet client needs.
- Creating or curating internal and external training materials related to managed market core subject matter or current events.
- Demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
- All other duties as assigned.
What Are We Looking For?
- Approximately 8-12 years of agency, consultative, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Expertise in Market Access strategy and stakeholder engagement including a strong understanding of all phases of the commercialization lifecycle from pre-launch through loss of exclusivity
- Ability to conceptualize innovative solutions which align to core Brand and Market Access strategic imperatives
- Ability to manage major clients and brands
- Strong writing, communications, and presentation skills
- Ability to effectively analyze large amounts of data/information and synthesize into concise and actionable end deliverables
- Ability to problem solve and work within a team environment
- Ability to think strategically and tactically, execute on projects, multitask, and meet challenging deadlines
- Highly self-motivated and self-driven independent thinker
- Familiarity with pharmacy policies, medical policies, formulary data metrics, prescription/performance data sources
- Able to develop client facing materials using PowerPoint and Excel
- Able to interpret customer needs and oversee production of relevant materials to meet need.
