We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Materials Management to lead and optimize our materials and inventory processes across the Stock division.
This role is responsible for overseeing materials forecasting, master scheduling, and capacity planning while driving efficiency and collaboration across multiple facilities.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in materials management, supply chain optimization, and cross-functional coordination.
Preference will be given to candidates located near or willing to relocate to Ferdinand, Indiana.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage materials planning processes across the Stock division.
- Establish and oversee inventory management processes to meet target objectives.
- Lead the Master Scheduling process to align production with demand.
- Coordinate production plans across multiple facilities to drive efficiency and balance workloads.
- Develop materials forecasts to support operational and strategic planning.
- Lead the mid-term capacity planning process, including make/buy decision-making.
- Assess, design, and implement materials systems to optimize supply chain operations.
- Lead, develop, and mentor plant materials managers to build a high-performing team.
- Chair Stock division component planning, developing short- and mid-term production rates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, emphasis in Logistics, Materials Management, Industrial Management or Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Operations Management with clearly defined responsibilities in Materials Management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
- Strong leadership and change management skills with experience in multi-site operations.
- Proven track record in supply chain planning, capacity planning, and process optimization.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 25%.
