About the Job: CardioOne is hiring a Director of Accounting. You will play a critical role in leading and managing accounting operations. This role ensures accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, oversees day-to-day activities, and contributes to the development and execution of financial strategies.
What you'll do:
- Oversee all accounting operations (month-end close, financial reporting, compliance).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate financial management and strategic decision-making.
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (GAAP compliance).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Lead and manage the accounting team.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Monitor and improve internal controls.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and reconciliations.
- Develop financial strategies and forecasts with leadership.
- Provide financial insights for decision-making and cost savings.
- Lead the integration of new accounting systems.
- Serve as primary liaison for external auditors.
- Prepare and review audit schedules.
- Identify potential financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
What you'll need:
- Strong background in healthcare accounting, revenue cycle management, and process improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, private equity, or multi-site organizations preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven track record of process improvement and system implementation.
Work Location: Remote (Texas or Colorado preferred, Florida, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania).
Additional Information: Full-time base salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 plus medical, dental, vision benefits and a matching 401K. This role includes a 10% incentive bonus.
