About this jobThe Director of CPS Thought Leadership (DTL) plays a critical role for NielsenIQ’s Consumer Panel Services (CPS) team. The DTL will have access to NIQ's data resources.
Goals:
- Create thought-provoking, concise Thought Leadership communications (Category & Client level).
- Engage top executives and stakeholders for discovery sales meetings, leveraging Thought Leadership materials.
- Support sales meetings with pre-sale materials.
Responsibilities:
- Know our Products: Gain a strong understanding of NIQ's CPS products and other NIQ solutions.
- Consumer Panel: Behavioral research, e-commerce data, product reference data, store activation data, digital shelf data, on-premise alcohol/beverage data, NPI Product Insights, Media solutions (Spectra/TDLinx).
- Know our Clients and their Industries: Monitor earnings calls, tailor communications to support client needs, understand client goals, strategies, opportunities, and industry trends.
- Develop Thought Leadership: Leverage and personalize existing NIQ Thought Leadership content for specific categories, brands, manufacturers, retail clients, or retail channels within the US market. Develop additional thought leadership topics if needed.
- Engage Clients: Engage with clients' senior leaders to showcase NIQ's value and secure discovery sales meetings.
- Illuminating Insights: Utilize CPS products (and other NIQ assets) to illuminate insights and business opportunities, showcasing actions for business improvement.
- Executive Communication: Demonstrate executive-level communication skills.
- Sales Support: Create custom analyses for sales pitches, participate in client sales presentations, and participate in Product Leadership sessions.
Experience Required:
- 5-7+ years in a relevant industry (E-commerce, CPG, consulting, sales).
- 2+ years with US consumer panel data.
- 1-3 years partnering with commercial/sales functions.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Proven ability to transfer insights into action/value.
- Media/marketing experience preferred.
Other requirements: Willingness to travel (10%-15%), enjoy ambiguity, be a positive team member, be an aggressive self-starter, be able to prioritize, be familiar with NielsenIQ tools, applications, and platforms.
