Full-Time Director of Human Resources (Remote in CA)

Position Purpose: The Director, Human Resources guides and manages the Human Resources activities of the organization, including services, policies and programs. The Director, Human Resources is also responsible for the area of safety for the company. This position is directly responsible for HR at both IDI in Richmond and DL in Montreal, Canada. Other duties in support of the SVP, HR for the North American organization will be assigned as needed.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Directing, coordinating, and/or conducting activities in the following areas:
• Recruiting and staffing
• Organizational and space planning
• Performance management systems
• Organization development
• Developing and implementing the Training Plan
• Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns
• Employee orientation, development, and training
• Policy development and documentation
• Employee relations
• Compensation and benefits administration, including Salary Review
• Employee safety and health
• Succession planning
• Reporting to the home office
• Supervising reception and mail room activities
• Originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture.
• Coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff.

Note: Position can be Remote in the state of California only. Position will require occasional travel.
