Director of Learning & Talent Development is responsible for leading the organization’s learning and development strategy.
Focuses on enhancing employee skills, fostering professional growth, and aligning talent development initiatives with organizational goals.
Ideal candidate: Passion for education, strong leadership, proven track record in designing/implementing effective training programs.
- Strategy Development: Create & execute a comprehensive learning & development strategy aligning with organizational objectives and promoting continuous learning.
- Program Design: Develop, implement, & evaluate training programs enhancing employee skills (onboarding, leadership development, technical training).
- Needs Assessment: Conduct regular assessments identifying skill gaps & training needs utilizing feedback/performance metrics to inform program design.
- Leadership Development: Design/implement initiatives preparing employees for future leadership roles and enhancing succession planning efforts. Collaborate with global leadership on US & global initiatives.
- Performance Management: Collaborate with HR integrating talent development strategies into performance management processes ensuring employee support.
- Employee Engagement: Lead all engagement initiatives (onboarding, exit, pulse surveys).
- Learning Technologies: Leverage modern learning technologies/platforms for enhanced training delivery & accessibility (e-learning modules, virtual training).
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners for alignment and support.
- Metrics & Evaluation: Establish metrics to evaluate learning program effectiveness. Make data-driven decisions to improve future initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the talent development team fostering a collaborative and innovative environment encouraging professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years experience in learning and development, talent management, or HR roles, minimum 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven experience designing/implementing successful learning initiatives and programs.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels and foster a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other digital learning tools.
