Director of People Operations is responsible for leading and ensuring effective design, implementation, and measurement of People Operations processes, policies, programs and initiatives. Supports employee lifecycle across all global locations (onboarding through to offboarding).
Responsibilities:
- Oversees People Processes, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, People Data Analytics, and P&C Compliance.
- Works closely with the CPO and key stakeholders (Finance, IT, Legal).
- Aligns People Ops with organizational business objectives and fosters positive workplace culture globally.
- Provides leadership and guidance on compensation, benefits, compliance, and systems, ensuring a unified approach.
- Oversees and optimizes People Operations globally, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Prioritizes process efficiency and effectiveness across all People Ops areas.
- Develops impactful people data analytics and reporting practices.
- Sets global People policies, procedures, and best practices, accommodating local variations.
- Manages global pay strategies (salary, equity, bonuses).
- Ensures pay compliance in all employment areas.
- Reviews and improves employee benefits, leave, and wellness programs.
- Oversees HR technology systems and solutions (HRIS).
- Utilizes data analytics to inform decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensures compliance with all regions' labor laws and regulations.
- Manages global employment contracts.
- Supports international expansion and mergers & acquisitions.
- Develops and manages the People Operations budget.
- Allocates resources to support P&C initiatives.
- Maintains effective communication with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Keeps updated on industry trends, best practices, and HR regulations.
- Pursues professional development.
- Holds team members accountable.
- Drives high performance through managing, coaching, and promoting collaboration.
- Recruits and retains high performers.
- Facilitates team meetings for collaboration and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Business, HR, etc.)
- HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
- 10+ years People Ops experience; 5+ years senior leadership
- Experience successfully leading People Ops in growing companies
- Demonstrated success leading system and process changes
- Experience managing compensation and benefits, including equity programs
- Expert on HR systems and reporting
- Record of success in driving People Ops policies for positive organizational change
- Leadership skills, supportive, approachable, creates accountability culture
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Track record of successful ops strategy development and tactical execution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
