Turnitin is seeking a People Partnerships & Employee Relations Director to join our Global People Team.
This role will report to the Senior Director, Global People Partnerships and serve as the People Business Partner to our APAC Operations.
The incumbent will primarily partner with designated Senior Leadership Team members and their employees, interacting with other teams to provide tactical support and strategic thought leadership related to the entire employee lifecycle, with a focus on employee relations, engagement, inclusion, and operational efficiency.
The incumbent will need extensive knowledge of APAC employment law and experience in employee relations, strong business acumen, and the ability to handle ambiguity and problem solve with a solutions-based mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop open and enduring stakeholder relationships with Turnitin Leaders to assist with People Strategy.
- Support operational and people team transformational efforts to improve efficiency.
- Act as a trusted advisor to operational partners and aligned business partner within the people team.
- Execute annual and bi-annual plans/OKRs using COE support, focusing on Turnover, Retention, Diversity, etc.
- Advise Turnitin Leaders on effective organizational design and development.
- Work closely with Stakeholders and Talent Acquisition to forecast talent needs.
- Research best practices to improve and sustain key people practices.
- Support the entire GPP people team as needed.
- Drive and sustain change while ensuring processes are documented and automated.
- Translate information into data to support decision-making and focus on process improvement.
- Champion Company Values and 'All In' Cultural Norms.
- Support operational strategy for employee engagement and relations.
- Drive positive outcomes towards the Company's DEI and Social Impact programs.
- Ensure transparent and open communication.
- Work with Stakeholders and the Talent Development & Culture Team to leverage L&D opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years global HR experience in a multicultural environment.
- Experience in a SaaS organization or other technology industry preferred.
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
- Ability to flex hours and travel.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Sound operational knowledge of relevant HR/employment law regulations.
- Employee Relations experience across multiple geos within the region.
- Technological savvy with experience using HRIS, ATS, Employee Engagement platforms, Google Suite, and Apple products.
- Data literate with experience driving data decision making.
- Exceptional C-suite communications/presentations skills.
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management.
