Our next Director, Total Rewards will lead TerrAscend’s Enterprise Total Rewards program including:
- Set the vision for its benefits and compensation programs
- Define the structure across our business units in Canada, California, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Ohio.
You will be challenged to work both strategically and tactically to oversee a team and work with third party administrators to ensure the efficient delivery of Compensation and Benefits pursuant to an annual budget
Where you’ll be planted: This is a remote role with travel required as-needed. We prefer candidates residing in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming.
To be blunt, this person will:
Compensation focus:
- Set the vision for, and directs, designs, and plans compensation policies, objectives, and initiatives and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends (fair, equitable and attractive) and corporate objectives.
- Oversee collection of wage, salary, and incentive survey data to ensure company compensation programs and objectives are competitive and compliant with applicable law.
- Plan and administers long and short-term equity programs and executive programs that drive company performance and comply with laws and regulations, under the direction of the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Support the annual salary review process and payment of bonus in conjunction with departmental heads.
- Provide direction for total compensation of newly created roles.
- Oversee role or job changes to ensure alignment with compensation structure, and sets overall ranges for roles using market data.
- Report to the Compensation Committee of the Board, as needed, with respect to the Company’s Compensation program.
Benefits focus:
- Sets the vision for and oversees the plans and directs the implementation and administration of benefits programs.
- Defines and communicates a Total Rewards strategy that is fit for purpose for all employees whether they operate at Corporate, Retail or Grow.
- Reviews and analyzes the benefits market to determine employee needs, trends, regulations, and practices, and develops competitive programs and services to meet company goals.
- Prepares and oversees the overall Benefits budget.
- Directs preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of the breadth of the Company’s benefits programs such as insurance plans, pension plans, 401(k), life and special employer-sponsored plans.
- Directs support functions in providing customer service, information records, claims, etc.
