Job Details
Leave and Benefits Specialist
Manages all aspects of employee leave requests, including intake, processing, tracking, and process improvement.
Serves as primary point-of-contact for employees regarding leave and benefit inquiries.
Coordinates with medical providers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators for required documentation and employee enrollments.
Monitors leave durations and communicates with employees regarding leave status and return-to-work timelines.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation).
Processes and reconciles benefit invoices.
Assists with open enrollment activities, including communication and education.
Maintains accurate employee benefit records in HRIS systems.
Assists with audits and internal control reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in leave administration and/or benefits administration
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave laws
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with HRIS systems and benefit administration platforms (Paylocity and bSwift preferred)
- Strong Excel experience (VLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables)
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain confidentiality
Technical Requirements (Remote Only):
- Minimum download speed: 5 Mbps
- Minimum upload speed: 3 Mbps
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (base)
