Position SummaryManages a high-volume caseload of employee relations matters, collaborating closely with all levels of Operational Leadership. Provides strategic guidance and support on complex workplace issues, including attendance, performance, discipline, and investigations. Serves as a trusted advisor, guiding managers and employees on HR policies and best practices for a fair and consistent approach.
Pay: $70,000 - $78,000 / Year
Duties and Responsibilities
- Caseload Management: Assesses urgency and severity of employee relations issues for timely and appropriate response. Monitors entire case lifecycle (intake, investigation, resolution, closure). Documents interactions and outcomes for timely resolution.
- Employee Support: Provides guidance and support to employees and operational leadership on workplace issues, policies, and best practices to promote a positive and compliant environment.
- Corrective Action/Performance Management: Advises management on disciplinary action.
- Basic Investigations: Conducts basic investigations into employee complaints (minor policy violations, workplace disputes). Gathers information, interviews parties, and documents findings.
- Policy Interpretation and Compliance: Provides guidance on interpreting company policies and ensures compliance with labor laws (EEO, wage and hour, harassment, ADA, discrimination, colleague disputes, FMLA, etc.).
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintains confidentiality and accurate records of all cases, investigations, and outcomes.
- Collaboration: Collaborates with HR team, other business units, and operational leadership to support strategic initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in Employee Relations or related HR role
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR/PHR) preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG/Ultipro) preferred
- Intermediate proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
