International SOS is looking for qualified individuals to provide Family Advocacy Program (FAP) case management services for The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP). The services will be at various locations around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide public awareness campaigns for Child Abuse Prevention and Domestic Violence Awareness.
- Ensure family violence prevention and education programs are provided for relevant groups (Commanding Officers, Executive Officers, FAP Command POCs, senior enlisted personnel, IDC, service members, chaplains, childcare and youth activities staff, installation law enforcement, medical staff).
- Ensure FAP education includes dynamics of child/domestic abuse, reporting requirements, victim sensitivity, and community coordination.
- Enter and count FAP information and referral, and awareness/prevention education services in FFSMIS.
- Account for all services delivered in the FFSMIS scheduling module.
- Receive and assess reports of child/domestic abuse following Navy risk assessment protocols.
- Develop risk-focused treatment and interventions for victims and perpetrators.
- Prepare information for the Family Advocacy Representative’s presentation to the IDC.
- Prepare incidents for CCSM discussion for designation, treatment planning, periodic review, and closure.
- Provide regular command consultation.
- Refer domestic abuse victims and non-offending parents to FAP Victim Advocate, if available, for ongoing support.
- Coordinate case management and intervention with Victim Advocate.
- Report suspected child/domestic abuse to civilian authorities and responsible CO/headquarters/law enforcement.
- Implement restricted reporting of domestic abuse incidents according to DoD/Navy requirements.
- Coordinate intervention services for offenders, victims or other family members.
- Participate in quarterly quality assurance procedures to ensure safe and quality services.
- Document and maintain records in FFSMIS FAP Case Record System.
- Document and maintain records in FFSMIS FAP Restricted Reporting Record System for victims electing restricted reporting.
- Enter and count FAP information and referral, and one-on-one consultations in FFSMIS.
- Account for all case management/intervention services in FFSMIS scheduling module.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Master’s degree in social work, Master of Science, Master of Arts, or doctoral-level degree in human service/mental health from an accredited institution.
- Highest licensure in a State or clinical licensure in good standing in a State that authorizes independent clinical practice.
- Two years of experience working with child abuse and domestic abuse.
- Clinical privileges/credentialing according to Service FAP headquarters policies.
- Maintain current clinical credentials/privileges.
- Meet Tier II qualified clinical practitioner requirements (SECNAVINST 1754.7A).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and ability to work autonomously.
Required Work Experience:
- Minimum two years post-master’s supervised clinical experience.
- Adhere to professional and ethical conduct standards.
- Demonstrate current clinical competence through direct service clinical experience (past 2 years).
- Specialized work experience with family programs, military/civilian social service agencies, or military family member understanding of the military lifestyle.
- Strong oral/written communication, assessment, and advocacy skills.
- Advocacy knowledge, skills, and abilities including knowledge of state/federal/local resources, sensitivity, and empathy for diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of FFSMIS (desired).
Compensation:
Pay range: $18-$40 per hour.
