Field Reimbursement Manager Hematology/Oncology (Southwest)
Job Overview
The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is a key field-based position within the Market Access team at Sobi.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement: Maintains a targeted account list and engages proactively with accounts virtually and in person.
Relationship Building: Works with assigned customers to build and sustain relationships across key departments (e.g., medication access, pharmacy, practice management, procurement).
Subject Matter Expertise: Serves as the subject matter expert in pharmacy benefit reimbursement and access across all channels (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Government). Educates and identifies compliant solutions for patient access and reimbursement challenges.
Support for Healthcare Providers: Assists healthcare providers in understanding benefit verification, product ordering, CPT coding, and J-Codes.
Liaison Role: Acts as a bridge between customers, patient services, and Sobi's sales and account management teams to address escalated access and payer issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with patient support hubs and case managers to resolve escalations. Collaborates with local Sobi colleagues for cross-functional support.
Local Solutions and Market Insight: Develops local solutions based on account and market insights. Provides actionable market intelligence to Sobi leadership.
Expertise in Reimbursement and Access: Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of reimbursement and access across all channels. Serves as the subject matter expert on payers in the supported markets. Understands specialty distribution and core services of specialty pharmacies.
Collaborative Approach to Success: Works effectively with internal and external partners. Demonstrates understanding of matrix team dynamics.
Educational Support for Healthcare Providers: Educates healthcare providers on patient service programs, prior authorization, coverage status, and payer appeals.
Customer Support for Payer Coverage Navigation: Provides field-based customer support, including navigating payer coverage and managing specialty pharmacy fulfillment.
Commitment to Compliance: Adheres to all relevant regulatory and Sobi compliance and ethics guidelines.
Required Experience and Skills
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to work accounts and build relationships with key reimbursement contacts.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry, disease state and drug distribution.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid drug coverage, current and pending changes.
- Strong technical expertise in reimbursement and patient access.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.
- Analytical skills for trend identification and opportunity identification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations.
Education: Bachelors degree minimum
Additional Qualifications:
- Reimbursement experience
- Hematology/Oncology experience
Responsibilities may include non-traditional working hours. 30% travel expected.
Compensation: $115,000 - $150,000 annually.
