Shift: Night Shift
Summary: The finance analyst is responsible for collection, organization, interpretation, analysis, recording, documentation, and dissemination of complex data sets.
Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile finance transactions with strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, customer service, and fast-paced environment.
- Provide support during night shift, corresponding to US EST working hours, as part of the Finance team.
- Ensure accurate and timely turnaround on all payables for various entities.
- Utilize complex cost center and intercompany allocation methodologies.
- Provide data analytics (payment volume report, duplicate and prohibited vendors).
- Assist with journal entries (reclass and reprocess).
- Manage vendors (verify banking information for ACH and wire settlements).
- Self-assess use/sales tax on applicable purchases.
- Implement GAAP standards and SOX audit requirements.
- Access vendor billing portals to generate electronic invoices.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
- Assist with various projects requiring analysis and reconciliation.
- Record cash payments in Accounts Receivable system and apply cash to open receivable transactions.
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Review and analyze reports.
- Meet monthly and quarterly financial close deliverables.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to meet departmental goals.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of statistics and experience with statistical packages (Excel).
- In-depth knowledge of reporting packages and financial systems.
- Property & Casualty experience desired but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of project management concepts and insurance terminology preferred.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Great Plains general ledger knowledge.
- Financial Systems (Accounts Receivable cash application system).
- Technical Skills (Proficiency Level): Microsoft Excel (R), Microsoft Word (R)
Education: BS in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related discipline.
