Full-Time Finance Operations Manager

Finance Operations Manager will be the go-to person for all operational aspects of Finance.

Manage core financial systems: accounting software, billing platform, expense reporting, and payroll provider.

Improve and integrate systems for scale.

Manage daily finance operations to ensure smooth monthly and quarterly close processes, in coordination with the Controller.

Process invoices, expenses, and journal entries on time.

Monitor accounts payable/receivable and cash flow.

Document and refine process workflows for efficiency and control.

Tax and compliance matters: coordinate with external accountants and tax advisors for multi-state sales tax filings, income tax preparations, and audits.

Manage corporate banking operations, including opening and administering bank accounts, overseeing user access controls, and optimizing treasury functions.

Finance setup for new state/country expansions (partnering with Legal and HR).

Implement internal controls and policies (approval matrices, expense policies, procurement, revenue recognition).

Finance liaison to Sales Operations, Legal, HR, Engineering, and Product.

Streamline and improve finance operations using AI.

Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years in finance operations, accounting, or similar roles.
• Prior experience in a tech or SaaS company (preferred).
• Understanding of software business finance, including subscription billing, SaaS metrics, and multi-state operations (essential).
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and familiarity with an accounting ERP (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM, expense management tools (Expensify, Ramp), and SQL or scripting for data analysis.
• Proven ability to lead projects and improve processes.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of finance compliance, US GAAP, revenue recognition, and tax fundamentals.
• Acute attention to detail, ability to analyze financial data.
• Self-starter, ownership of problems, stakeholder communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
