About This Job This position develops and implements Global Category and sub-category strategies. Collaborates with SVP Procurement, CTO, and direct reports. Plans and leads global category initiatives, ensuring robust supplier management, value creation, and supplier performance. Develops innovation programs, manages supplier risks, and conducts business reviews. Leads sourcing projects, specification definition, demand management, and supplier performance/innovation activities.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develops category strategies, maps stakeholders, establishes resource requirements, researches/analyzes data, challenges current practices, develops strategies with stakeholders, sells strategies to senior stakeholders, manages tender processes, communicates and reviews strategies, and creates business cases.
- Contract Development: Creates negotiation plans and negotiates with suppliers, ensures adherence to signing authorities, and communicates contracts.
- Supplier Development: Reviews supplier performance, creates improvement plans, develops alternative suppliers, and implements contract KPIs.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Ensures compliance (restricted party screening, financial checks, conflict of interest checks, forced labor, embargoes, etc.) and local compliance to global contracts.
- Leadership: Communicates and liaises with stakeholders and third parties, organizes team members, delegates responsibilities, coaches junior team members, deploys resources effectively, measures performance, and provides feedback. Supports team development plans.
Requirements
- Degree in technical/business administration or relevant work experience.
- 10+ years global procurement experience focused on relevant categories.
- Understanding of sourcing processes, tools, contractual, and legal aspects.
- Preferred: Professional Procurement Qualifications.
- Strong financial/business acumen, negotiation, change management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English.
