AECOM is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join our Global Procurement team to support different categories of indirect spend.
We’re looking for someone with experience procuring services and driving change in a decentralized organization where procurement’s influence is growing.
The role requires a data-driven approach to procurement and a results-oriented self-starter with a strategic mindset.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting AECOM's Think & Act Global strategy, working across spend categories to develop new sourcing strategies across multiple countries/regions.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and sourcing strategies (contract renegotiation, RFPs).
- Analyzing demand/supply, leveraging common spend, and identifying alternative supply approaches.
- Delivering strategic sourcing projects across countries, managing the Rfx process, and implementing contracts.
- Planning commercial outcomes (identifying baseline spend, developing strategies balancing commercial leverage/time/effort).
- Identifying cost savings (price reductions/rebates, cost avoidance, process improvements).
- Identifying key stakeholders and developing partnerships with groups across AECOM.
- Utilizing procurement technology/data to improve efficiency and service.
- Supporting wider stakeholders with supplier relationship management (KPIs, escalations).
- Improving efficiencies via source-to-pay processes (purchase order compliance, workflows, payment timescales).
- Developing the Global Procurement team by sharing best practices.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS + 6 years relevant experience (or equivalent)
- Strong strategic sourcing skills (data analysis, opportunity assessment, requirements definition, Rfx/tender management, negotiation, contract drafting)
- Commercial competence (cost savings types, indirect spend categories)
- Demonstrable cost savings (strategic/tactical sourcing initiatives)
- Ability to engage with global stakeholders, build rapport, and gain buy-in.
- Strong interpersonal/influencing skills (cultural differences)
