As the Group HSE Specialist, you will have a passion for the health & Safety of our colleagues and the environment. You will understand critical metrics related to a business’s HSE performance and act accordingly if incidents occur or deviations appear.
Reporting to the Head of HSE, you will work closely with the HSE Team and other key stakeholders to ensure all HSE policies and procedures are accessible, maintained, and reflect current business practice.
You will identify trends through our databases and act on those trends with other key stakeholders to closure. Lead the business audit program, both Health & Safety and environment, whilst supporting the creation of any relevant HSE policies and procedures.
You will establish and maintain adequate documentation and records relating to all HSE activities. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with strong problem-solving ability, considering all details for issues and problems. You will see the big picture and the strategic direction.
Required Experiences:
- NEBOSH General Certificate/IEMA Certificate or equivalent
- Manufacturing background
- Strong IT skills, ideally with experience of extracting data from Excel, SharePoint, and D365
- Working understanding of ISO14001, ISO45001 / OHSAS18001 or ISO50001
The successful candidate:
- Presents as robust and credible.
- Has a strong systems background and is competent using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Is highly numerate and has an organised analytical mind, with the ability to summarise and present findings and suggestions in a structured, coherent, professional manner.
- Is able and willing to simultaneously complete both hands-on and administrative work.
