Senior Global Mobility Lead
The Global Mobility Manager leads our group global mobility function, ensuring programs are modern, efficient, employee-centric and cost-efficient –supporting business growth and enabling our international talent strategy.
Oversees a global team responsible for delivering seamless end-to-end mobility experiences.
Partners closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to continuously evolve policies, processes, and technology solutions.
Dual Focus:
- Strategic Business Partnership: Acts as a trusted advisor to leadership and the broader business, contributing to strategic decision-making related to talent mobility. Early involvement in business planning (expansion, M&A) ensures mobility considerations are built into growth plans.
- Team Leadership and Development: Fosters a high-performing team of Global Mobility professionals. Invests in developing team capabilities, encouraging networking, and raising team visibility.
Works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive mobility solutions.
Plays an active role in shaping strategies, policies, and practices, while identifying and resolving operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Lead the Global Mobility team in delivering best-in-class services; Design & implement global mobility strategies aligned with business objectives; Act as internal thought leader on trends, compliance, and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Consult with senior HR leaders, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders; Manage relationships with external partners (vendors, lawyers, advisors); Deliver training and guidance to HR teams and managers.
- Employee Experience: Serve as primary point of contact for employees; Identify and address pain points, proactively resolving challenges; Ensure positive experience from initiation through repatriation.
- Policy and Compliance: Contribute to/leads the development, governance, and continuous improvement of policies; Monitor global regulations (tax, immigration, employment); Drive consistency and equity while allowing localized flexibility.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee end-to-end mobility process (planning, cost, relocation, support); Evaluate/implement tools/systems for increased efficiency; Use data and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and support decisions.
Educational Background: University degree required. Global Mobility or International HR certifications a plus.
Previous Experience: Significant experience in relevant HR functions; Minimum 8 years in Global Mobility, 2 years leadership experience; Proven experience in developing and optimizing global mobility programs, ensuring compliance; Strong leadership experience managing and mentoring a global mobility team.
Prior Knowledge and Skills: Deep understanding of international employment law, immigration regulations, taxation, social security; Deep knowledge of global mobility processes; Strong analytical skills to assess risks; Ability to lead process improvements, enhance efficiency and employee experience; Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and ensure alignment with objectives; Proven experience in building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing global mobility team.
