As our first dedicated hire in this area, you will lead Injective's advocacy efforts with the U.S. federal and state governments, engaging directly with policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to advance Injective's mission and business goals.
You will play a critical role in representing Injective with policymakers and regulators, driving a regulatory strategy that enables innovation while ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and a strong professional presence, particularly when engaging with government and regulatory stakeholders.
Responsibilities:- Regulatory Education:Educate regulators and policymakers on the benefits of decentralized finance and Injective's core infrastructure.
- Create educational materials, policy papers, presentations, reports, comment letters, and other external communications to inform rulemaking and guidance.
- Position Injective as a thought leader in regulatory innovation by contributing to industry dialogue through panels, speaking engagements, and written content.
- Government Relations:Build and maintain relationships with U.S. and international government agencies, state regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Represent Injective in meetings, public hearings, industry roundtables, and consultations.
- Monitor legislative developments and identify opportunities for proactive engagement.
- Cultivate a strong, credible presence for Injective in Washington D.C. and other regulatory hubs.
- Policy Advocacy:Lead Injective's participation in shaping public policy. Develop and communicate Injective's positions on key digital assets and DeFi regulatory and legislative proposals.
- Manage relationships with lobbying firms, legal advisors, and industry coalitions.
- Participate in the drafting of responses to regulatory consultations and public comment periods.
- Strategic Regulatory Affairs:Assist in developing the strategy and execution for securing crypto-related licenses and registrations across key jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with the internal Legal team to ensure Injective's operations align with applicable laws.
- Advise the executive team on emerging regulatory risks and opportunities that may impact business strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure advocacy efforts align with Injective's business priorities and product goals.
- Stay ahead of evolving global policy and regulatory trends to keep Injective at the forefront of compliance and innovation.
- 7+ years of experience in government relations, regulatory strategy, or public policy.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, finance, law, or public policy).
- Proven experience working directly with regulators, policymakers, or government agencies.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. laws, regulations, and crypto policy dynamics.
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and their regulatory implications.
- Experience in blockchain, crypto, or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Ability to translate complex technical and industry concepts into tangible policy recommendations.
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
