As the Head of Marketing - Growth & New Propositions you will be a core member of the Dan Murphy’s marketing leadership team. You will be responsible for identifying and leading the strategic development of new growth opportunity areas for Dan Murphy’s that drive incremental value across distribution channels, categories, partnerships and loyalty.
You will also lead the evolution and execution of the Dan Murphy’s loyalty marketing strategy, driving customer retention, lifetime value, and program differentiation through the My Dan’s program and/or other growth initiatives that drive loyalty. This role ensures seamless integration of new growth and loyalty initiatives across the customer journey, leverages data to optimize performance, and evolves the loyalty proposition to enhance engagement and share of wallet.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop & execute the Dan Murphy’s loyalty marketing strategy with the purpose of increasing retention and customer lifetime value.
- In partnership with Group Loyalty, design and drive the next evolution of the My Dan’s loyalty program - to deliver against agreed business & brand objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new channel and loyalty initiatives across the customer journey.
- Continuously evolve the loyalty program proposition to grow member share of wallet and focus on strategic customer segments.
- Partner with Group Marketing, Technology and endeavorX to define the long term technology roadmap and product requirements for new growth channels and My Dans that will drive loyalty, differentiate the program and enhance the customer experience.
- Work in partnership with Endeavour Group Marketing Loyalty, 121 and Lifecycle team to ensure the new channel or the Dan Murphy’s loyalty strategy and comms requirements are understood and delivered against, leverage group capability and to share and adopt best practice marketing capability.
- Track and improve the end to end member experience, ensuring a seamless onboarding journey and communication of member benefits across the Dans ecosystem (online and instore).
- Utilize data analytics to measure program performance, identify trends, and optimize customer experiences.
- Conduct regular customer analysis to assess the long-term financial impact of loyalty initiatives.
- Oversee the management of the loyalty budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and spend within allocated limits.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, negotiating contracts and reviewing performance where applicable.
- Lead and Inspire the broader marketing team by role modeling the Dan Murphy’s Values and Ways of Working.
Requirements:
- Significant experience (10 yrs+) in senior marketing and loyalty roles, ideally within a retail/fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing strategy.
- You’ll be a forward thinker, with experience managing projects and standing up new business models/propositions from a Marketing perspective.
- Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated P&L ownership.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to operate in a dynamic matrix environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or Marketing preferred.
- Demonstrated capability in customer experience and loyalty program design.
- Ability to work autonomously with little direction and deal with ambiguity.
- Proven experience in people leadership.
- Proven ability to develop & execute strategy.
- Working knowledge of loyalty marketing technology platforms would be highly regarded.
