Full-Time Health and Wellness Director (RN)

Health and Wellness Director (Registered Nurse/RN) oversees daily operations of the health and wellness department, including planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manages all aspects of the Health & Wellness department (compliance, planning, assessments, direction, budget, staffing, hands-on care) adhering to company policies.
• Conducts thorough resident assessments.
• Ensures resident care needs are met per physician orders, regulations, and company policies.
• Monitors resident care progress via written notes and verbal communication.
• Evaluates health and wellness associates' performance and skills.
• Completes nursing audits (med carts, eMARS/TARS) to ensure compliance.
• Implements training programs for associates.
• Provides leadership to associates and ensures optimal staffing and schedules.
• Coordinates ancillary support services.
• Informs physician, family, and associates of resident condition changes.
• Keeps the department within budget for staffing and supplies.
• Assists with nurse coverage as needed.
• Provides 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current NJ RN license in good standing.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience in Senior Living, Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or Skilled Care.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications.

Physical Abilities

• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of fine and gross motor skills.
• Reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
• Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs; intermittent lifting and supporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
