Position Highlights:
- Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Remote

Responsibilities:
- Receive and process requests for patient health information.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
- Maintain knowledge of company and facility software.
- Adhere to company and customer facility Code of Conduct and policies.
- Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes.
- Assist with additional duties as required.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail for medical records.
- Apply medical privacy regulations to prevent unauthorized disclosure.
- Manage patient health records.
- Safeguard patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Prepare new patient charts, gathering information from paper/electronic sources.
- Ensure medical records are in standard order, accurate, and complete.
- Create digital images of paperwork for electronic records.
- Respond to patient record requests (internal/external).
- Answer inbound/outbound calls.
- Assist with patient walk-ins.
- Assist with administrative duties (faxes, mail, data entry).
- Schedule pickups.
- Assist in training other HIS staff.
- Generate reports for manager/facility as directed.
- Exceed level 1 productivity expectations.
- Participate in project teams and committees.
- Mentor HIS staff for professional development.
- Inform senior leadership of issues, opportunities, or challenges.
- Assist throughout the region with training, mentoring, and coverage.
- Participate and assist with new employee onboarding.
- Assist with Quality Assurance tasks.
- Act as a lead role with staff for general questions and new hire training.
- Lead training sessions for staff development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to commute between locations
- Ability to work overtime during peak seasons
- 1 year Health Information experience
- Basic computer proficiency
- Proficient in using phones, fax, printers, etc.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Detail and quality oriented
- Strong data entry skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment
- Presentation skills
- Forward thinking and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications:
- 2+ years Health Information experience
- Meet/exceed Company Productivity Standards
- Previous production/metric-based work experience
- In-person customer service experience
- Ability to build relationships with clients
- Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvements and feedback
