Healthcare Regulatory and Compliance Specialist I will be responsible for the ongoing development and updating of the MedTrainer knowledge base. This includes linking regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, federal and state mandates, and related compliance best practices to MedTrainer products and solutions.
The role involves creating and adapting healthcare policies, compliance checklists, competency assessments, guidance, and other compliance resources for deployment in the MedTrainer Compliance Library. Experience with AI tools is highly desired, including developing, adapting, and formatting documents, checklists, and compliance resource documents.
Strong preference for experience leveraging AI and machine learning tools (LLMs, NLP, predictive analytics) to streamline regulatory research, content development, or compliance monitoring.
Required experience: 2+ years in healthcare or regulatory environments with time-sensitive projects, and experience with healthcare compliance or privacy programs or similar regulatory settings. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
Knowledge required: General knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, including CMS Conditions for Participation and other federal/state regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of accreditation organization standards (e.g., Joint Commission, AAAHC, others) and their correlation to federal/state regulations.
Knowledge of healthcare settings, such as long-term care, assisted living, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, community health centers, and others.
Understanding of metadata/taxonomy best practices throughout the compliance document lifecycle.
Job Duties include participating in the development of new products and services; on-time delivery of assigned compliance projects; interpreting and analyzing regulatory manuals; maintaining a robust taxonomy and tagging structure; meeting compliance content volume expectations; improving department processes; and taking initiative.
Professional Skills include strong initiative, prioritization skills, excellent communication/interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, English fluency (speaking, reading, writing), proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn new tools.
