As an HR Administrator at YSI, you will play a central role in supporting day-to-day HR operations. This includes managing employee data, assisting with performance and absence processes, supporting grievance matters, liaising with managers, and ensuring smooth coordination of administrative tasks. You will help maintain a positive, compliant, and productive working environment for all our people.
Areas of Responsibility- General HR Support Act as a first point of contact for employee queries related to policies, absence, and general HR matters.
- Support the management of sickness absence, including tracking, reporting, and coordination with managers.
- Assist with performance management processes, including documentation, tracking, and follow-up actions.
- Provide administrative support for disciplinary, grievance procedures, reporting, document preparation, and audit readiness.
- Maintain and update employee records and documents (e.g., contracts, warnings, reviews) across HR systems (e.g., HiBob).
- Support with regular HR audits and compliance checks, ensuring all documentation, (e.g. leavers, contractual variations etc) is complete and up to date.
- Administrative Oversight Administer employee benefits and support enrolment processes.
- Track and report on key workforce metrics (e.g., attendance, sickness, performance flags).
- Manage all documentation and process for starters, internal transfers and leavers, ensuring records are accrued and filed appropriately.
- Maintain confidential and well-organised records for compliance and internal tracking.
- Recruitment Support (as required)Support recruitment activities as needed, including scheduling interviews, preparing offers, and onboarding coordination, but this is not the primary focus of the role.
Experience in HR administration, with exposure to performance, grievance, or absence management. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate confidently with both employees and managers. Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information. Proficient in HR systems and tools (e.g., HiBob).
