Job Details

The successful candidate will be a skilled and experienced multi-site HRBP involved in the full remit of HR practices and processes within Mecca venues business.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support business needs and partner strategically and operationally with the Mecca Venues Operations Leadership team.
  • Develop and deliver an effective people strategy to meet business objectives (profit & revenue growth).
  • Contribute to People & Culture and Mecca HR strategies.
  • Partner with Regional Operations Manager and other teams.
  • Ensure effective plans are in place to drive employee engagement.
  • Work with operational teams to build a team culture reflecting Mecca's values.
  • Attend relevant meetings and provide a link between COEs, HR best practices, and operational needs.
  • Provide coaching, counsel, and support to ensure compliance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Complete special projects.
  • Analyze key people metrics to identify trends, issues, and improve performance.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and development of talent, focusing on management roles.
  • Work with the TA team to proactively plan for people and recruitment issues.
  • Advise on recruitment processes to attract a diverse candidate pool.
  • Work with operational management to ensure robust succession plans.
  • Support L&D Business partner in delivering learning and development plans.
  • Support the completion of performance reviews.
  • Facilitate regional employee representative meetings.
  • Advise, coach, and support managers on HR policy/procedures (disciplinary, grievances, absence, tribunals).
  • Support the People Director in ensuring high standards of CSR, EDI, Compliance, Regulatory and Legal requirements.
  • Deputize for the People Director as needed.

Experience & Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of HR.
  • Solid employment law knowledge.
  • Retail, leisure, or hospitality experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multi-site/regional/field-based experience.
  • Senior-level partnering experience.
  • Transformational people strategy development and delivery experience.
  • Matrix organization experience.
  • Confidence to challenge status quo and provide constructive feedback.
  • Experience across HR disciplines (business partnering, reward, recruitment, L&D, employee relations).
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Unionized environment experience (desirable).
  • CIPD qualification (desirable).
