Job Details
HR Generalist I is responsible for employee lifecycle management (recruiting, hiring, training, rewarding, and developing employees), employment processes, and policies. Supports the HR team in various HR functions including employee relations, data entry, and employee engagement. Provides HR support to a major business unit or functional area. Implements and maintains HR processes.
Key Duties:
- Assist HR Business Partner team with daily activities (policy implementation, performance management, organizational development).
- Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records (new hires, terminations, status changes) in the HRIS system, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve satisfaction.
- Oversee onboarding, new hire orientation, and data entry in HRIS systems.
- Introduce new employees to company culture, policies, and procedures; generate offer letters, conduct background checks.
- Assist in coordinating and delivering training programs for employees and managers.
- Maintain employee records, handle inquiries, and communicate sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of related experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to exercise judgment within procedures and practices.
- Ability to build productive internal/external relationships to solve problems.
