Full-Time HR Generalist - Springfield, OH

Reports to: Human Resource Manager, U.S.

Main Purpose: To collaborate and contribute to HR activities, ensuring consistency and quality of HR services for Area leaders and managers.

Responsibilities:

1. HR Process & Document Management:
   • Processes terminations and internal transfers.
   • Administers Leave of Absence (LOA) process.
   • Presents HR materials during New Hire Orientation and completes the I-9 process using E-Verify.
   • Manages employee files electronically.
   • Collaborates with other HR team members and Global HR Shared Services for accuracy and quick response.
2. Supports local HR programs:
   • Partners with HR Manager and local management to implement HR activities.
   • Supports development programs as needed.
   • Administers global HR processes with local management.
   • Works with training organization to support HR training and competency development.
3. Organization support for Area management:
   • Applies people strategy with HR Manager.
   • Helps with HR projects and ensures Area Management receives support.
   • Supports Group and Region projects.
   • Assists with mergers and acquisitions' integration.
   • Supports Country/Area implementation of group people strategy.
4. Compensation & Benefits:
   • Understands and responds to employee benefit questions.
   • Processes pay changes.
5. Talent Development:
   • Supports HR Manager in ensuring Area Managers complete Konecranes Talent management process.
   • Assists with succession planning and career path utilization.
6. Employee Relations & Engagement:
   • Advocates and supports employees through HR initiatives.
   • Supports employee engagement initiatives.
   • Ensures compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
   • Assists with investigations and leads routine investigations.
   • Guides managers through minor disciplinary processes.
7. Diversity & Inclusion:
   • Champions diversity & inclusion initiatives.
   • Partners with HR Manager to monitor action items.
   • Identifies ways to enhance inclusion in the workplace.
