About the position: As a Human Resources Specialist, you will support professionals engaged by our clients in Colombia. You'll assist in managing back-end HR, accounting, and legal service providers. A key role in delivering best-in-class HR support to customers and professionals, driving GP's goals and objectives.
What you'll do:
- Serve as regional expert for all HR functions in Colombia.
- Manage local payroll, benefits, HR advisors, and other partners.
- Respond to customer queries and advise on benefits, international payroll, and HR matters.
- Support terminations and visa applications.
- Advise customers on market-norm benefits.
- Manage customer relationships with customer service team.
- Handle ongoing customer matters, collaborating with appropriate team members.
- Work with customer and operations teams to identify and manage service improvements.
- Think creatively to negotiate win-win-win solutions.
- Use best practices to improve products/services.
- Solve complex problems and take new perspectives.
- Work independently with minimal guidance.
- Maintain meticulous customer records in the online portal.
- Provide subject matter expertise in contract negotiations and onboarding.
What we're looking for:
- BS/BA degree or higher in HR, International Business, Accounting, Law, or related field.
- 4-6 years of HR Specialist/Generalist experience in Colombia; additional LATAM experience is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of HR concepts, practices, and Colombian employment laws.
- In-depth knowledge of legal requirements for managing employees in Colombia.
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent prioritization, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
- Resourceful, able to adapt to new situations and understand complexities while maintaining compliance.
- Willingness to work flexible hours across time zones.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Customer service-oriented, highly professional, and positive attitude.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Highly reliable and organized.
