Position Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner leverages cross-functional partnerships to foster a positive workplace environment. Focus is on delivering value-added service to management, aligning with business objectives. Responsible for cultivating a positive employment experience and acting as a trusted advisor for business operations.
Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 annually, plus incentives. Pay based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR partner aligning talent management, workforce effectiveness, and organizational effectiveness with Monro's strategy.
- Understanding business goals and challenges to provide solutions and advise on talent strategies.
- Promoting an inclusive environment and positive employee experience.
- Coaching leaders through change, employee relations, performance management, and career development.
- Building strong relationships based on trust, integrity, and accountability.
- Identifying and addressing teammate dissatisfaction to improve experience and retention.
- Developing and implementing employee engagement strategies and culture change initiatives.
- Identifying leadership and organizational development needs and creating programs.
- Improving work relationships, building morale, increasing productivity and retention.
- Analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, reducing legal risks, and acting as a conduit between corporate HR and field teammates for clear communication.
- Providing guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Management Responsibility: Individual contributor on the HR team, collaborating with other HRBPs and HR personnel under the direction of the Field Human Resource Director.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (HR or related) with 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience (multi-unit retail preferred), and 3+ years resolving complex employee relations issues. SHRM/HRCI Certification preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in performance improvement, employee investigations, and issue resolution, including difficult conversations.
- Operational and strategic execution, problem-solving, prioritization, and managing multiple projects.
- Driving achievement of business goals through HR experience and business knowledge.
- Coaching and influencing manager and senior leadership.
- Developing appropriate employee relations programs for positive change.
- Demonstrating empathy, high discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Resolving a wide range of issues creatively.
- Strong relationship building and change management skills with operational business partners.
- Strong organizational skills, quick focus changes, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehending and applying laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation, and administrative practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, investigative experience, knowledge of the HR investigative process, and managing case workload to meet SLAs.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Professional office environment with exposure to automotive shops and warehouses; use of standard office equipment. Prolonged sitting/standing at a desk and computer work. Ability to work weekends and holidays, and travel to field locations 50% of the time.
