Job Summary: As an Infrastructure Engineer, ensure the reliability and security of the infrastructure underpinning development and operational services. Actively support and improve our core infrastructure, providing a solid foundation for delivering cutting-edge solutions.
- Automate deployment, operation, and maintenance of hybrid cloud systems using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management (e.g., Terraform, Helm, Ansible).
- Administer systems and applications on Linux-based systems.
- Design, deploy, and maintain IP networks.
- Create automated solutions for development teams to self-serve routine infrastructure requests.
- Improve code security by integrating security testing tools into build and deployment pipelines.
- Implement effective monitoring for application and infrastructure reliability and security.
Requirements:
- Strong experience administering and securing Linux hosts (virtual and physical).
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling.
- Experience configuring, managing, and securing public cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience administering containerised applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience administering IP networking in a corporate environment.
- Experience automating tasks using Bash, Python, JavaScript, and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of security testing and monitoring tools (e.g., SAST, SIEM).
Preferred Background:
- Experience contributing to incident response for complex microservice-based applications.
- Knowledge of application security best practices.
