Senior DevOps Engineer - India (Remote)

About Akuity: Akuity, a Sunnyvale, CA-based company, provides enterprise support for the Argo project. It helps companies reliably deploy Argo at scale.

The Opportunity: This DevOps role involves 50% software development for the Akuity Platform (GoLang) and 50% infrastructure maintenance. You will work with Linux, Containers, Kubernetes, Networking, Security, AWS, PostgreSQL, and other Cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, deploy, and improve Akuity's SaaS platform.
• Develop in GoLang.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to implement features.
• Ensure scalability of the rapidly growing platform.
• Facilitate service level objectives (SLO), on-call rotations, and post-mortems.
• Maintain infrastructure and optimize cloud costs.
• Orchestrate cloud resources across providers.

About You:

• Lives in India
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for developer experience
• Deep knowledge of systems design, API design, and infrastructure.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience developing scalable web applications using Golang
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, CKA certificate preferred)
• Experience in observability (monitoring, logging, tracing)
• Proficiency in operating public cloud services using infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
• Expertise in maintaining self-service CI/CD platforms, trunk-based development, and GitOps deployments.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).

Preferred Skills:

• Strong AWS knowledge (AWS Associate or above certification)
• Knowledge of SRE, CNCF, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Experience building Kubernetes controllers or operators in AWS, GCP, Azure, or On-prem.
