Job Details

THE POSITION: The Manager, HEOR will lead multi-disciplinary research teams and provide HEOR expertise and strategic leadership at all stages of projects from planning to communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute projects that exceed client expectations while remaining on time and on budget
  • Determine and manage project scope, timelines, budget for several competing projects
  • Develop and review materials for accuracy, consistency, quality, and conformity to EVERSANA standards
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans
  • Lead and support a wide range or projects (e.g., targeted or systematic literature reviews, health economic modeling, evidence synthesis, reimbursement submissions, evidence generation plans, manuscripts, etc.)
  • Provide leadership to ensure projects are underpinned by strong and defendable HEOR concepts and methods
  • Ensure projects adhere to high standards of pharmacoeconomic analysis and health technology assessment
  • Build relationships with clients that result in ongoing business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for future collaborations
  • Develop proposals, budgets, and timelines
  • Promote a positive and energetic work environment through healthy and effective communication, a strong work ethic, and professional conduct
  • Identify and develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Contribute to decisions regarding company direction and growth, staffing of projects, and project workload
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
  • All other duties as assigned.

PEOPLE LEADER

  • Develop and communicate company policies and standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate and participate in team-based and independent training
  • Provide mentorship, guidance to junior staff

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Travel: Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Overtime and/or weekend/evening hours may be required to meet project deadlines

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Education: MSc in a Life Science discipline, Epidemiology, Health Economics or related field
  • Experience and/or Training: A minimum of three (3) years’ direct work experience in health economics, health technology assessment, or a related field
  • Strong basis in cost-effectiveness model design, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Experience with HTA submissions
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, EndNote, and PowerPoint (familiarity with R or DistillerSR an asset)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, demands, and timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage personal and project team members’ time across competing projects
  • Proven ability to identify and respond to different communication and work styles of team members and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership, teambuilding, and team-motivating skills
  • Demonstrated planning and decision-making skills
  • Strong strategic, problem solving, and analytical abilities
  • Proven relationship-building capabilities; developing and maintaining strong client relationships, effectively interacting with peers
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with peers, senior management, and clients
  • Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in model programming in VBA preferred
